Mrs. Margaret North
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Hlla North, wife of Stewart North, were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the Scott Funeral Home in Front Royal, with Elder J. Harvey Daily conducting the last rites. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery in Washington, Va.
Pallbearers were Albert Cameron, Junior and Henderson North, Iamie Melbourne. Delaney Mills and (ialen Reil.
Mrs. North died Friday evening from the effects of burns she received when she knocked a gallon glass jug of gasoline down the basement stairs at her home in Harmony Hollow. The gasoline ignited from a stove in the basement, used to heat water. As she went down the steps, the explosion of the gasoline caught her. She suffered second degree burns over her body and died within a few hours.
