After Long Illness

Galley Washington Smith, 55, of Fli^it Hill, Va. died Sunday morning at Warren Memorial Hospital where 'he had been a patient sjnce Tuesday night.

Mr.(Smith, a lumber dealer, was promiiyent in county activities. He was a | member ot the Rappahannock County School Board for 12 yea is ind served as its chairman for 11 (years. He was a member of

the cojunty 'Electoral Board and was vit)e president of the First National Bank of Flint 'Hill. He was also a member of the Flint Hill Fire Company.

Mr. Smith was a native of Albemarle County and attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
