Mrs. B. R. Cox was the leader for the October meeting of the Womans Missionary Society of the Washington Baptist Church which was held Tuesday, October 4 at the church with an unusually good attendance.
Mrs. Cox used* a “Time Clock” poster to call attention to the work the society plans for the Fall months. Annual reports will T>e made and plans for iiteracy classes will be considered.
As for a number of years, the society will continue its work with the International Board of,Jewish Missions, Inc. which has taken for it’s motto, “I have set thee a Watchman unto the House of Israel." Ezekiel 33:7.
Miss Margaret Compton, treasurer of the society, received a most appreciative letter from Rev. Jacob Gartenhaus president of the Mission, for the help they had received from the Washington WML'.
Mis. Cox gave an interesting talk on “Your Own Bible”. Members of the society had been asked to bring, theirs and make brief talks about their study methods.
The Rev. Warren Wilbur spoke of the work of the women of the Southern Baptist Convention which had been most useful to the churches.
A social hour followed the meeting.
