Carver PTA Meets
The Parent-Teachers Association "of the Carver High School held its second meeting of the year on Wednesday night, November 16. The following list of activities were presented and adopted by the association.
1. That a committee be appointed to explore the possibilities of conducting a dental clinic at Carver.
2. That 500 membership cards be printed for distribution to members as they pay their dues.
3. That the secretary communicate with the State Congress of P.T.A. and secure the necessary forms and information concerning a local chapter becoming affiliated.
4. That the P.T.A. support those groups who are raising funds to liquidate the piano bill.
5. That one department in, the school be responsible for presenting a short program during each P.T.A. meeting in order that parents might become more familiar with the offering of activities.
6. That an effort be made, with definite supporting plans toward encouraging more students to further their education beyond the high school level.
7. That a parent visitation day be designated to provide opportunity for parents to see their children in class participation and view other operational activities of the school.
8. That a question box be made available for parents who wish to make commendations, constructive criticisms and/or questions pertaining to the functioning of the school.
9. That the P.T.A. endorse the action of the Culpeper CountyWide Civic Council in seeking an overall evaluation of the Carver High School for the purpose of strengthening any possible weaknesses.
