Our prayers anil Dest wishes will be with Lyle. He will be competing for five l .S. Savings Bonds donated by Armour & Co. which will be awarded to high scoring members (in all 4-H Livestock Judging Classes) as follows: 1st place *300.00 ; 2nd $400.00 ; 3rd $300.00; 4th $2004)0 and 5th $100.00. dlie amount of the savings bond figured at maturity value.
Rappahannock has 275 boys and girls enrolled in 4-H. As indicated above the awards available, in achievement and demonstration contests are numerous and most worthwhile.
In an effort to let you parents know of awards your sons and daughters can compete for a series of meetings has been arranged as follows :
Washington, Court iHouse November 22; Forest Grove School November 29; Chester Gap at Greeley’s Store November 30; Flint Hill fire hall December 1; Sperry v die School December 6.
These explanation meetings will be div ided into three parts and will not last over an hour and a half. All will begin promptly at 7:30 p in. Your scribe will lead a discussion on the What, Where and How 4-H operates to include a calendar of events our boys and girls participate in. Miss Barnette and Mr. Givens will discuss boys and girls projects being offered and awards available. Each discussion will be concluded by a Question and Answer Period.
