I was appalled when I read in my own newspaper a front page reference to the Hon. Harry E. B\ rd as the “grinning little mountain climber.”
While I am not in sympathy with Senator Byrd's policy of golden silence being a firm believer in the proposition that politics cannot operate in a vacuum, 1 regret and repudiate the lack of respect and good taste in such a comment.
