Lindsay Almond, Jr., wife of the Governor of Virginia said as she received Virginia’s first 1960 two of Virginia’s Christmas Seail Christinas Seals from the.hands of Children on November 14 to officially <j>pen the 51st Christmas Seal Camp4ign in Virginia. “These children represent the tremendous progress that has been made in the tight against tuberculosis,” Mrs. Almond continued, “and they also represent the great job (still to be done if TB is to be conquered.”
Unknowingly infected with tuberculosis by a loving grandmother, the children were treated in a Medical College clinic partly supported by Christmas Seals and the U.S. Public Health Service.
