Prayer services were held on November 17 at the home of Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr. Those attending were Mrs. Fannie Eastham, Mrs. Ixtckett Burford. Mrs. Emory Russell, Mrs. Frank Cary, Mrs. Barbara (Jen try, Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Sr. and Mrs. Paul Miller.

Guests of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning for the Thanksgiving holidays will be Mr. and Mrs. Robert Browning of Verona, N. Jj. and John B. Browning of the Uni\ersity of Virginia.

Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Pullen were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lillard of High Meadow Farm, Mrs. Robert Lillard and son, Leroy of Front Royal, Bobby Hawkins of Arlington and Miss Jeanetta Lillard.

Mrs. Warren Wilbur gave a recital Monday night at the home of Mrs. D. B. Smith in Front Royal for the Music Study Class. She sang a Christmas Cantata byScarlatti and Ari from Samson by Handel.

Mr. and Mrs. David Corbin and son of Richmond attended the Baptist Methodist supper Saturday evening. They visited friends while here.

Mr. and Mrs. James M. Settle will spend Thanksgiving in Maryland with their children, Dr. and Mrs. R. F. Bowersett and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bowersett.

Galley W. Smith, III of North Garden and Jack Broadwater of the University of Virginia were Sunday afternoon and supper guests of Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr.

Miss Ruth Stevens was a dinner guest Sunday of Miss Addie Boyd.
