A funeral service was held Saturday, November 19, from Amissville Methodist Church, with interment following in the church cemetery. The pastor, the Rev. Ralph Sfalter, and the Rev. John 11 Hodge, pastor of Amissville Baptist Church, conducted the last rites.
Pallbearers were Earl Putman, William Wince, Charles Compton, Graham 'Hackley, John Tapp and Charles Priest.
Geest Funeral Parlors were in charge of arrangements.
John A. Jones
John Absalom Jones, a lifelong resident and farmer of Rappahannock County,; died Monday, November 14, ait his residence near Washington, Va. Son of the late Orrhenile Jones and Clarenda Jones, he was 93.
He is survived by a niece. Miss Clara 'Elizabeth Clatterbuck, with whom he made his home, and a number of great-nieces and greatnephews. „
A funeral service was held Wednesday, November 16 from Oakley Baptist Church, with Rev. H. E. Nicholson conducting the last rites. Interment followed in the Jones family cemetery.
Pallbearers were George Wood, Bee Miller, Clarke Jones, George Beahm, Robert Jacobs and I>ewis Smedley.
