Thornton, Public Health Departs nient, and Mrs. Elizabeth M. Buntin, Public Welfare Department* of the County, the Club has established regular procedures which must be followed in each and every case.
Where such aid is desired, the patient must make application through Mrs; Thornton who will be provided with the necessary forms and whose certification as to need, as well as the certification of Mrs. Buntin as to indigency will be required prior to forwarding the request to the Lion’s Club for approval. The Lion’s have siet a policy requiring a nominal contribution from the patient, however, considering the high cost of medical attention at the present time; such contribution should be" no deterrent in the case of urgent need.
In connection with this program, the Lion’s Club deserves the support of the community in their various endeavors to raise money for financing their good work.
Christmas Round Dance
The Sperryville Fire Department is sponsoring a Christinas, round dance to be held in the Sperryville Elementary School on Friday, December 16, from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. Music will be furnished by Max Emerson’s Orchestra, Admission is $1.50 per person and tickets may be purchased from any member of the fire company or may be purchased at the door.
