McCue M. Brown
McCue Montague Brown of Sperjryville died there Wednesday afternoon, December 7, following a long period of declining health. He was 85. Son of the late William Brown, he was a lifelong resident of Sperryville and a carpenter by trade. He Was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge, formerly located at Sperryville. His wife was the late Mrs. Mary Millan Brown.
He is survived by a son, C. Ennis Brown of Sperry\ i 1 le ; a brother, Luther Brown of Sperryville; and a sister, Mrs. Lillie Jenkins of Fredericksburg.
A funeral service was held Friday, December 0, from the graveside in Sperryville Cemetery. The Rev. H. E. Nicholson conducted the last rites.
Pallbearers were Carson Johnson, Edward Estes, Harry Trescott, Clyde Atkins, John Eubank and Robert W. Brown.
Geest Funeral Parlors were in charge of arrangements.
