Two-Year Sentences
Judge Elliot Marshall of Front Royal, was designated to sit jn Rappahannock County Circuit Court on Saturday, April 8, to pass sentence on three charges of felony against Silas Woodard. Judge Marshall gave Woodard two years on each charge. Karen Sue Riley, who had confessed and was being held in the county jail on a charge of breaking and entering Rappahannock County High School, was released. The typewriters she confessed that she stole were located in Pittsburgh, Pa. and their theft traced to three Front Royail men. 'These men face numerous charges of breaking and entering throughout the state. inspector C. L., Wood located the stolen goods in a gambling house in Pittsburgh and it has been properly identified.

The sale of state auto license tags is moving slowly, according to agent Gibson Wharton, at Hampton Inn and Service Station where these tags are sold. Tags must be displayed on vehicles by midnight Saturday, April lij.
Thursday and Friday, the license office will be open from 8 a.m. until 41 p.m. Saturday, the office will opien at 8 a.m. and close at 12 noon sharp. No tags will be issued after 12 o’clock Saturday.
To avoid; delay, fill in the neccessary information on the reverse side of your license card before applying for your tags.
County tags are sold at the office of Robert L. Brown, Treasurer, in Washington, Va. According to Mr. Brown, only about half of the county residnts have gotten tags to date.
Hours at this office are 8:30 a.m. until 5 pm. today and Friday and on Saturday from 8:30 until 12 noon.
