May 6th Poll Tax Deadline

Any and every election is impartant_...To be qualified to votein the July 11th Democratic Primary and the November 7th election, poll taxes must be paid by May 6th.

If you have not already registered, this must be done thirty days prior to an election. Contact the registrar of your magisterial district and register so that you will be eligible to vote.

At the March meeting of the Amissville Ladies Auxiliary these officers were re-elected to servo for 1961: Mrs. Russell Hackley, President; Mrs. Charlie Priest, Secretary; Mrs. ,A. C. Latham Treasurer. <*)

Mrs. Robert McLean was elected Vice-president to succeed Mrs. Richie Colvin who declined the nomination because of ill health..
