FHA participates in the Daughters of the Star Federation. At the last federation meeting, Rappahannock FHA’ers presented a skit on Family Unity in Family Meals. The spring federation meeting will be held at Rappahannock High School.
Food for Family Fitness was selected as the main project this year. Programs at monthly FHA meetings have emphasized this project. Newspaper articles have been written and published in the school and local papers on this subject. The guest speaker at the Banquet talked about foods in' foreign lands which ties in with this particular project.
The second objective is “To ‘help individuals develop their potential abilities.’’ The projects under this goal are: Establishing real and lasting values; Make Virginia Homes Beautiful and Safe and Teenage Consumer. The planned chapter activities were: To hold FHA Officers workshop during the summer; Send a delegate to Virginia FHA Convention; Sponsor a big sister project for new members; Sponsor a safety survey of the school; Sponsor a school beautification project and Conduct a berry pie baking contest.
