Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Abernathy and son Gary and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Starens of Hickory, N. C. were Friday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Junior Dodson and They were enroute to Niagara Falls. Mr. Abernathy is a former employer of Junior Dodson.
Mrs. I, J. Brooke and daughters and their families spent Wednesday in Washington. D. C. George Baber of Washington, D. C. was a weekend guest of the Brookes. Monday Mrs. Brooke and daughters, Mrs. Malissa Johnson and Mrs. Lannell Wilburg gave a party in honor of the birthday of Curtis Lee Weaver. Those attending were Audie Weaver, Jack Weaver, and Mr. and Mrs. Virginus Waver of Boston, and Misses Judy Lang and Brenda Ehart'of Charlottesville.
