A Texas prosecutor in a drunk driving case made much over the fact that the defendant, upon arrest, had lit a filter cigarette on the wrong end. “’Isn’t it a fact that you were so drunk you didn’t know what you were doing?” he thundered. “You’re doing it yourself,” replied the defendant. Sure enough, the prosecutor had just lit the wrong end of a filter. The case was dismissed.
