A Civil Defense leader training meeting was held last .Monday might at Rappahannock High School. In charge of the Civil Defense organization in Rappahannock County is W, H. Lyne, who stated yesterday he had received better response from this group of volunteer workers than from any group with which he has been associated in his twenty-seven years as a County Agent.
The meeting was to instruct leaders from each community so they might carry on the necessary work and instruction in their individual areas. Subjects discussed were Facts About Fall Out and Fall Out Shelters, under the instruction of Mr. Lyne; First Aid and Emergency Kit, Mrs. Frances Thornton, County Health Department Nurse; Food Stock Piling, Mrs. Grace Brothers, the Home Agent iin Culpeper; Radioactive Fallout op the Farm, C. B. Palmer, Vo-Ag teacher at the county high school.
