FHA’ers Tour The

Luray Caverns

Approximately thirty Future Homemakers and their guests journeyed to Luray last Thursday, November 10 and toured Luray Caverns. They left Rappahannock High School immediately after classes ended in the afternoon. A few of the many interesting formations enjoyed by the group were the Ball Room with its Great Stalacpipe Organ, Dream Lake, Titania’s Veil, and the Wishing Well which gained quite a few coins. Of special interest to the group were the two strips of bacon and the scattered “stone” eggs frying in their rock skillets.

After the tour the majority of the group had dinner in Luray before returning home. Chaperones were Miss Ann Blanton, Home Economics teacher at RCHS and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brown, FHA Chapter parents.
