Robert Barfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Barfield of Berryville, spent last week with his grandmother, Mrs. (Hazel Barfield and Miss Alice Hitt.

Linda Bell Gaines, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Gaines, celebrated her 1st birthday August 5.

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gaines were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Glent Gaines in Madison. Glen Gaines returned home on Thursday from a Charlottesville hospital where he underwent surgery- geryMrs.

Hazel Barfield, Mr. and Mrs. Olney Kennedy and Mrs. Claude Gaines attended the association meeting Thursday at die Culpeper Baptist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. James Hitt and two daughters of Culpeper were Saturday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Conner Jenkins. Sunday the Jenkins had as their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Dodson, Miss Mamie Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Tanner and Mrs. Venie Jenkins of Culpeper, and Mr. and Mrs., Richard Jenkins of Centerville.

Mrs. Ema Nethers of Hood is spending the week with Dr. and Mrs. R. W. Quaintance.

Yager Hawkins was transferred from Culpeper Memorial Hospital to Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville on Friday and underwent surgery Monday.

Mrs. Elzie Hawkins of Culpeper is spending some time with her niece, Mrs. Edward Green.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Me Laughlin and sons, Robbie and Stephen returned home Sunday from a vacation in Ocean City, Md. by way of Norfolk.
