Palmer Named
As Rural Carrier
Hon. Burr P. Harrison, Seventh District member of the House of Representatives announced today, the appointment of Mr. Charles B_ Palmer, Washington, Va. to fill" the rural mail carrier vacancy in the post office here. The vacancy occurred when Mr. Lester Yates retired last year Mid since that time has been filled by a substitute.
Mr. Palmer has been the VoAg teacher at Rappahannock High SchooHjar several years.
Jury Hangs In
Hickman Case
A five-man jury was unable to make a decision Tuesday in the case of A. H Hickman, Washington, Va., who was charged with failure to display Rappahannock County auto license tags. Hickman had been tried and convicted in county court, but appealed the case to the circuit court The case will be tried again at the November term of the circuit court.
