From here we went to Washington, Penn., which is the location of many coal mines. From Washington we traveled along until we again entered into West Va. Although at many places, the views were beautiful, huge coal mines marred the countryside. From the state line we traveled through Wheeling and many other small towns and at last reached the Ohio state line.
