entertained at picnic Friday at Elizabeth Furnace honoring Mrs. W. B. Jenkins and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke.

Visitors Tuesday of Mr, and Mrs. Guy Burke were Mr. and Mrs. Moses Burke and family of Maryland. Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Baumgardner had as their guests at their country home. Bellevue Farm, for the weekend Mr. and Mrs. John Beebe and family and Mrs. John Smucker all of Alexandria. Mrs. George Burton left Friday for her home in Drexel Hill, Pa. after visiting Miss Lottie Burton for several days. Milton Clay Gore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Gore, is recuperating at home after undergoing a tonsilectomy Friday at University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville.

Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. James Lillard were Mr. and Mrs. Luther Coppage and daughter of Marshall, Mrs. John Heyl, Warrenton, Miss Becky Edmonds Front Royal and Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Racer. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke were Sunday supper guests of Mrs. Lillard. Dr. and Mrs. C. J. Stuart of Petersburg spent the week end at their home here. W. M. Stuart, Jr. of Beltsville, Md. spent two days at the Stuart home here last week. ' Miss Harriet Goode visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Goode in Winchester over the -weekend.
