Division conferences for j Rappahannock and Warren ! schools began Tuesday in preparation for the opening of schools in the two counties on Tuesday, September 3.
j A principal's conference be f gan ar 9 a.m, Tuesday mpri'ting in Warren County High School, Front Royal at which time the manual of policies and procedures was reviewed. Other items for discussion were the school calendar, the new register, distribution of supplies, forms to be used and compulsory attendance laws. The division conference of teachers and school administrators will be held Friday, August 30, beginning at 9 a.m in the E. Wilson Morrison Elementary School in Front Royal. Teachers will hear addresses by Dr. O. K. Campbell of the State Department of Education on “The Legal Aspects of Pupil Control" and Mrs. Elizabeth Denny, government instructor in Warren high schools on “Concepts of Comparative Govern - ments.” Representatives of the Health Department and the Tuberculosis Association will speak briefly on the services rendered by their organizations.
In the afternoon teachers associations of the various districts will meet.
