In the afternoon the Blggers family left for a visit in Washihgton, D.C. and Damascus, Md. C. M. Gaines, Jr., infant son of Mr* and Mrs. C. M. Gaines, entered Martha Jefferson Hospital, Charlottesville last week and underwent surgery on his foot Wednesday. The baby is doing fine. Mr. and Mrs. C. K. Umberger, their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Friend and children of Pulaski spent the weekend of August 18 as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carter White. Mrs. Nora Jenkins fell last week and sustained a leg injury. She was taken to University of Virginia Hospital Thursday. She was Accompanied to the hospital by Mrs. Sam Fincham of Peola Mills and Mrs. Conner Jenkins. Dr. Rupert Quaintance is a patient in Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
