Eligible students are those generally between the ages of 18 and 23 whose veteran parent died of injury or disability incurred in wartime service, or in some cases of extra-hazardous ’ peacetime service. The other parent may still be alive. These students may receive up to $110.00 a month for as many as 36 months while pursuing full time approved courses.
All children entitled must go through a course of advisement by Veterans Administration education and vocational counselors. For those children not going to college Virginia has several vocational schools, and there are also several business schools as well as hospitals Offering nurses training.
