James Walton Atkins

Graveside services were held Sunday, September 22 at 2:00 p.m. for James Walton Atkins, 84, of Sperryville who died September 21 after a long illness. The service was conducted by the Rev. Clyde Melton at the Sperryville Cemetery.

Mr. Atkins was a native Of Sperryville, son of James P. Atkins. His wife, Mrs. Maggie May Atkins predeceased him. He is survived by a son, Clyde Atkins and a sister. Miss Annie Atkins, both of Sperryville. Serving as pallbearers were Lee Cornell, Cecil Atkins, John Eubank, Vernon Leake, Wilson Atkins, Dr. J. P. Snead Billy Kilby and Julian Brown.
