Smith of Fairfax are spending this week with their son and family at Spring House Farm. '' Among those attending the Fairfax Hunt races in Fairfax on Saturday were John R. DeBergh, David Evans and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee Smith. Miss Gladys Winfield visited James W. Green Sunday in the Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Bertha Armel was a dinner guest Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Groves in Arlington. Mr. and Mrs. J. Stant Weaver were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. George Butler and attended church in Boston. Mrs. Edwin Belt and two children left Monday for her parents home in Seattle, Washington.

Mrs. A. R. Armstrong of Williamsburg was an overnight guest Saturday of her mother, Mrs. Sam Barber. Mrs. Barber accompanied her to Charlottesville on Sunday where she met her grandson Fred Armstrong and returned to Roanoke with him for a visit at his home there. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Butler and family of McLean were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Butler for the week-end. Russell Hitt of Arlington was a guest Saturday of the Butlers. Sunday dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hawkins and family, Mrs. EarthaHawk ins, Oscar Butler, Mrs. Erma Jenkins and Robert Weakly of Washington.

Miss Virginia Johnson of Arlington is the guest of Miss Lillie Johnson.

Miss Virginia Settle visited her uncle, John Fincham, Thursday at the University of Virginia Hospital.
