Teen Group Attends
Rally Sunday
About twenty teenagers from Washington, Sperryville and Flint Hill attended a Youth Rally at the Warren County High School gymnasiam,Sunday November 24. The Reverends Charles Glaenzer and Arnold Sorrells accompanied the group. The main point of interest at the rally was Byran Green, an Englishman who is currently on a speaking tour in Virginia. The topic under discussion was Love, Courtship, and Marraige. After Canon Green expressed his opinion on the importance of such a topic, the audience divided into small discussion groups. The Sunday afternoon outing proved beneficial and pleasant for all.

Closed Monday
Honoring President
The post office, banks and most businesses were closed Monday in Rappahannock as they Joined the world in mourning the untimely death of the fate President John F. Kennedy. A memorial service was held at the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church of Sperryville on Monday morning in rememberance of our late President. Rev. Clyde F. Melton lead the service and was assisted by the Reverends Sorrells and Grimmer. The well executed service was both stirring and inspirational. Both jgroup and private prayers were offered, hymns were sung, and Mrs. Thomas Massie completed the service with a solo, I Know That My Redeemer Liveth. The Rappahannock Manufacturing Company suspended activities between 10:30 and 11:30, Monday, November 2> in order to show their respects to the late President. During this time both workers and staff gathered at the Flint Hill Methodist Church. Two hymns were sung and Mr. Jimmy Bly, assistant manager of the plant, delivered a brief address.
Culpeper Band Will Hold Concert Here
Culpeper County High School Band will present a concert at Rappahannock County High School ^yditorium on Sunday. December 8, 1963 at 3:00 p.m. There is no admission charge and the public is extended a cordial invitation. The P. T. A. of Washington and Sperryville Elementary Schools are sponsoring the concert.
