ful potted flowers sent them as anniversary gifts. A three tiered wedding cake centered the table and other cakes and punch were served by their granddaughter Gloria Durden. Another granddaughter Bonnie Durden wae in charge df the guest book which contained the names of 120 visitors who came to express best wishes during the day. The Dailys had received approximately 180 cards of congratulations from friends in most all of the States and some from Canada.
Mrs. Maude Dempsey of Fredericktown, Ohio, only sister of Mrs. Daily, was present for the celebration, as was Eld. Daily’s only sister, Mrs. Iva Barr of Martinsburg, W. Va. Other guests from a distance included Eld. and Mrs. Philip Johnson and family of" Strasburg. Eld. Johnson is a nephew of the Dailys; Eld. and Mrs. C. W. Boyd, Fredericktown, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Flowers, Whiteland, Ohio; Clarence Davis, Dayton, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Allison Truax and son, Needmore, Pa; and many from Maryland/ West Virginia, Washington, D. C. and locally.
