National events gave added emphasis as Sandra Foster opened the meeting by leading the group in the pledge to the flag, which was led by Charlotte Foster. Alletta Beebe, county song leader, then directed the singing of “My Country Tis of Thee.’ Next on the program were reports of activities and achievements of 4-H members. Donald Gale Williams gave an Interesting report on his trip to the State Conser-1 vation camp at Virginia Beach last June. Ellis Smith presented a lively review of the county delegation week at the State Forestry Camp at James town. Harrison Powers reported on the state 4-H leader ship camp at Virginia Beach. Harold Walker gave a summary of the county delegations week at VPI at State 4-H Short Course. Amy Palmer gave a pep talk on 4-H camp and her experiences there last summer. Nelson Putman, who also went to the State Forestry Camp, reported on the county 4-H forestry camp. Pig project activities were well presented by Donald Beahm. Amy Palmer introduced the junior entertainment provided by Warren and Bradford Beebe who sang, “You are My Sunshine," and Carty Moffett, who did the Charleston. Senior 4-H talent included Harold Walker, Larry Jolliffe, Barry Jolliffe, and Ellis Smith. Tommy Williams introduced 'W. H. Lyne, whose subject for the program was “4-H is a Family Affair.
