Surprise Anniversary and Birthday Party
Mrs. Cha*rles Jenkins of Washington, Va. was the honored guest at a surprise party at Mid-way Hall at Calverton on Saturday night to celebrate her 6th wedding anniversary and her 23rd birthday. Those present in addition to Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins were Miss I-aye Wines of Front Royal, Madeline Clark, Millie Grimsley, and Danny Campbell of Flint Hill, Henry Hudson and Robert Jenkins of Washington. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins and daughter Linda, Miss Faye Wines and Danny Campbell made a sightseeing trip to Richmond.
Washington IH4-H Clubs Begin Projects
The Washington III 4-H Club held its November meeting on Friday, November 22 with Carty Moffett, president,conducting the business. The girls decided to take “Your Room, Pep It Up' as their project for this year. Electricity was the project selected by the boys. Major topics for discussion were the Share-the-Fun Contest and the 4-H supper,both goals for this year. Minutes were read by Charlotte Printz and Lizzie Eastharr led devotions. Gail Updike reported the meeting.
