Avon Hall and were dinner guests Saturday evening of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell. Dr. and Mrs. Howard Burger spent the weekend at their home, Clairmont. Mr. and Mrs. Ollle Fincham entertained Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Sorrells at lunch Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell entertained Judge and Mrs< R. V. Snead and Judge and Mrs. B. M. Miller Friday evening at the Methodist Church Dinner.
Miss Susan Schaefer and Kay Johnson attended the “Turkey Bowl’ at Blacksburg on Thanksgiving Day. The highlight of the trip was the age old football rivalry between VPI and VMI. Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead accompanied them down to the game and Cadet Francis Updike accompanied them oh the return trip. Miss Carolyn Gates Turner returned home from Richmond on Wednesday to spend the holiday with her mother, Mrs. L. J. Turner. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dulin of Falls Church wexe-Monday guests of E. B. Cary. Ronnie Thornhill Is in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal with a broken knee.
