Wet Pavement

Judith Ann Sisk of Sperryville was involved in an automobile accident Saturday in Woodville. She was not, however, injured. Driving a 1963 Ford, she skidded on wet pavement after applying her brakes. Her vehicle struck a 56 Chevrolet belonging to Daniel Russell Jackson, Woodville which was parked in front of Burke's Store there. The Chevrolet was in turn shoved into the gas pumps at the store. Trooper W. A. Buntin who investigated the accident reported damage to the two vehicles at $500 and to the gas pump $100.

First Returns From Seal Campaign Noted

The first returns for the Christmas Seal Campaign for 1963 were reported as of Tuesday mor'ning to be $8700.40 by Mrs. Gladys L. Harris, Executive Director of the Tuberculosis and Health Association of Northern Virginia.

The report by counties is as follows; v Clarke, $577.00; Fauquier $1439.45; Frederick (including Win chest er) $2,391.35; Loudoun, $1,127.80; Page, $785.70; Rappahannock, $160.50; Shenandoah, $1039.20; Warren, $1174.40.

Amissville HD Club Plans

Wreath Making Demon.

Mrs. W. E. James and Miss Virginia Bolen of Culpeper will give 'a demonstration at the Amissville Home Demonstration meeting Monday, December 2 on making dellarobia wreathes. They will have material with them for anyone who wishes to purchase'some and make wreathes that night. The meeting, held at Amissville fire hall, will begin at 6 p.m. and a casserole supper will be served. Also featured will be an exchange of gifts so if you attend bring your gift. The installation of new officers will conclude the meeting. They are, Mrs. F. L. Bowey, president; Mrs. Stanley Settle, vice-president; Mrs. Charlie Priest, secretary; Mrs. Stanish Riley, treasurer; and Mrs. S. D. Hutton, reporter. Anyone interested in this demonstration may attend.
