Report sheep observed to have scabies symptoms to the State Veterinarians Office (203 North Governor Street, Richmond, Va.), your local vet or your County Agent. Report all sheep showing signs of losing wool or scratching.
Other Follow-Up Measures to maintain the scabies-free status call for inspecting onethird of the sheep flocks once a year. Also all flocks which were suspicious last year and all flocks in counties with scabies must be inspected. Last year no Rappahannock flocks were found to be infected.
