Amissville Auxiliary Plans Annual Banquet

The Ladies Auxiliary to Ami88ville Fire Company met last Tuesday, January 21 at the fire house with twelve members present. Plans were made for the annual banquet held in honor of the firemen, junior firemen and guests. The dinner will be held Friday, February 14 this year and the Rev. Jack Coker of Radiant will be guest speaker.

This week Joe McDaniel, President of the Tuberculosis and Health Association of Northern Virginia announced the appointment of members of the Medical Advisory Com mit^ee for the Association.

With Dr. William C. Rickard of Luray as Chairman, the committee will consist of: Dr. James Pray Baker of Warrenton, Dr. John W. Emep ick of Berryville, Dr. L. O. Fears, Jr. of Winchester, Dr. William P. Frazer of Purcellville, Dr. Dorothy A.Leake of Winchester, Dr. Dennis P. McCarty of Front Royal, Dr. J. P. Snead, IV of Sperryvillq Dr. George E. Troxel of Winchester, Dr. A. C. Wagner of Warrenton, Dr. George R. Waterman of Woodstock, and Dr. William B. Wild of Woodstock

President McDaniel also reported that the Christmas Seal Campaign stands at $34,539,00 against a total of $36,221.00 for the previous year. Last week reminders were mailed to those previous contributors who had not answered their letters, asking that they help in the program to control tuberculosis and other respira tory diseases.
