Meeting of Council

On Wednesday and Thursday of last week, the Protestant Episcopal Church in the diocese of Virginia held its 169th Annual Council in Richmond, Va. Delegat es from Trinity Church, Bromfield were E. N. Montague, George W. Davis, Jr. and the Rev. Charles Glaenzer. Annual Council is where the Church in Virginia elects new officers, conducts the business and adopts programs, policies and budget for the Church ip Virginia during 1964 One of the focal points of this Council is the relationship of the Church/ to Politics. Directly related to the controversy is the area of Human Rights and opposition by some of the policies of The National Council of Churches, as it involves political Issues. While it was re-confirmed that the Church and State must remain separate, the Diocesan Bishop in his pastoral address to Council addressed himself
