Thfe Sperryville Fire Company answered a callonThurs. day, February 20 to a chimney fire at the home of Mrs. Dell Dodson. No damage resulted. Saturday night, about midnight, the company was called to a fire in a tenant house on the Lane property nearWoodville. The Culpeper Fire Company was also present and the fire was fought for several hours. The house was partially destroyed. The Washington Fire Company went to the home of Mrs. T. C. Lea on Thursday where considerable smoke damage resulted. The Rappahannock Rescue Squad took Mrs. Clarence Jenkins from her home to University of Virginia Hospital on Thursday and on Saturday. Israel Carter also was taken to University Hospital from his home in Sperryville.
