Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Massie and Mrs. Wade H. Massie, Jr. were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Eastham at Red Mill-near Amissville. Dabney Hughes Eastham of Huntly was also a guest of the Easthams. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parker of Culpeper were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Updike and family. Mr. and Mrs. Trenton Burke of Culpeper were luncheon guests last Tuesday of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke. On Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Isiah Burke of Berryville and Clyde Jenkins were dinner guests of the Guy Burkes. Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Judd Burke of Flint Hill visited the Burkes. Lizzie Eastham, who spent last week with her grandmother, Mrs.' Wade H. Massie, Jr., has returned to her home near Amissville. Capt. William Wiener of Bridgewater and Joe D. Keytier were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Miller at Mt. Prospect. Misses Kaye Johnston, Dana Snead and Susan Schaefer spent the weekend at V.P.I. and attended a dance there. Ray Snead of V. M. I. was a guest for the weekend of his parents. Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead. Miss Missy McKiethen of Mary Baldwin College was also a weekend guest in the Snead home. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Miller were In Linden Saturday to visit Mrs. Miller’s .sister, Mrs. C. H. Whiter. Mi'd; White is recuperating from a fall and is confined to a wheel chair. They also visited Mr. White, who is a patient in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal. Mrs. William Curtis and daughter Susan of Clinton, Md. were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Racer. The Rev. and Mrs. Arnold Sorrells and children were dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Updike. Guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Payne were Mr. and Mrs. Walvet Clark and son Buddy of Falls Church. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Somerville, Culpeper and Mr. and Mrs, Reid Payne of FlintHill. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hall at Rose Hill for the George Washington holiday were Mrs. Mabel H a r r a 11 and Miss Claudia Harrall of McLean and Mrs. Virginia Kuhn of Alexandria, Mrs. S. P. Polend returned to her home in Haymarket on Sunday after a two week visit with her sister, Mrs. Hall.
