House, Contents Burn
Near Amissville
The house occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Orville Kibler near Amissville was completely destroyed by fire Monday night and all contents lost. Mr..and ;Wrs». Kibler were away frotri home when the blaze broke out. By the time the fire was discovered and the Amissville Fire Company summoned the house had fallen in leaving only a chimney standing. They had no Insurance.
Flint Hill Fire Co. Purchases New Engine
Edward J. Welch, Larry Welch, Terry Davis, Paul Mit ler and Mr. Nicely of Winchester left Sunday for Lansing, Michigan and attended a fire fighting school this week. On their return they will bring the fire engine recently purchased by the Flint Hill Voluntary Fire Company.
Mission Study Course
The Sue Slaughter Baptist Missionary Group will sponsor a mission study course at the Washington Baptist Church on Thursday night, February 27. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. All missionary societies, circles, Y.W.A’s, G.A.'s, R.A.’s and Sunbeams are invited to attend.
