George B. Jenkins

George B. Jenkins, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Jenkins of Finksburg, Md. died February 24, 1964 at his home. He was 8 years old and their only child. Besides his parents he is survived by his grandparents, iMr. and Mrs. Clinton Jenkins of Washington, Va. and Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Kendall of Bentonville, Va. A funeral service will be held Thursday (today) at 4 p.m. from the Washington Bap tist Church with the Rev. Arnold Sorrells officiating. Intermenf will be in Washington Masonic Cemetery.

Mrs. E. J. Singleton

Mrs. Bessie Cole Singleton of Sperryville, widow of Erasmus Jack Singleton, died Saturday, February 22, 1964 at Sunset HavenNursingHome at Grlffinsburg, where she had been a patient for six months. Daughter of the late George Washington Herndon and Mary Catherine Cole and a native of Wolftown, Madison County, she was 86. She is survived by three sons, Harry Singleton of Gary, Ind., Rudolph Singleton of Fayetteville. Fl. C. and Lionel Slnglef6n, Chicago, 111.; one daughter, Mrs. E, J. Clark of Sperryville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Eheart of- Arlington andj a brother, Russell Herndon of Gary, Ind. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, Sperryville, of which she was a member. The Rev. Clyde F. Melton officiated. Interment was in Sperryville Cemetery. Geest Funeral Parlors handled arrangements.
