Howard Morris Speaks To Ruritan Club
Howard Morris, Post District Governor of Ruritan Clubs and a member of the Jeffersonton Club, spoke at the meeting of the Amissville Club held Wednesday, February,. 19 at the fire hall ir Amissville. Mr. Morris spoke to the group about a constitution and by-laws. S. D. Hutton, T. C. Barron, Nelson Burner and Aubrey Curtis were appointed as a committee to draw up bylaws for the Amissville club, to be presented for adoption, A safety film on driving in ice and snow was shown. Stanley Magee was welcomed to the group as a new member and other business was plans for a public 6upper to be held March 14. The menu will consist of ham and turkey with the trimmings and the food will be prepared and served by the Ruritan members. At the close of 'the dinner a television, pressure cooker and a radio will be given away
Amissville Fire Co. Installs Radios
Amissville Volunteer Fire Company is installing twoway radios in its fire equipment with a base station at the fire house. The fire house is also being insulated and a new stainless steel sink has been installed in the kitchen.
