Manager Ski Area
Dr. Roswell Bowersetj, President of Skyline Ski Area, has announced the appointment of Mr. Robert T. Reid of Orange, Va. as Exec. Vice-President and General Manager with the overall responsibility for the Area's operation and development.
Mr. Reid graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Business Administration and has had a varied background of business and financial experience. His military experience includes two tours of active duty in the Navy during World War II and Korea. He currently holds the rank of Captain in the Naval Reserve. His wife, the former Flora Waldman of Washington D. C., is on the teaching staff of Woodberry Forest School and has been on the Orange County School Board for a number of years. Their older daughter, Barbara, is in Beirut, Lebanon with the State Department, and their younger daughter, Patricia, is studying to become a physical therapist at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.
Plans for the coming season at Skyline will be announced in the near future, according to Dr. Bower sett.
