7 7 cheese is made and what’s in it. Here’s how you can identify them: Natural cheese .. Cheese in the original sense of the word.. Cheddar, Swiss, Muenster, Edam, and so forth., made by curing or aging to develop flavor. Pasteurized process cheese .. A blend or combination of natural cheeses which have been blended by heating and melting. Pasteurized process cheesp food .. A product prepared in much the same manner as process cheese except that it contains less cheese and has non fat dry milk or whey solids and water added. It may also contain pimento, fruits, vegetables or meats. Pasteurized process cheese spread .. A product containing more water than 'Cheese food. Its milk fat content is also lower, andvery often flavoring materials are added. Club cheese .. A blend or mixture of natural cheeses which has been thoroughly mixed without heating. Flavor ing ingredients and spices may also be used.
