Front Royal. The Rev. Arnold Sorrells, pastor of the church, performed the double ring ceremony at two-thirty o’clock before an altar banked with palms and lighted candelabra, accented by arrangements of whitemums, snap dragons and yellow marigolds. The bodice and skirt were appliqued with Alencon lace and seed pearls and the skirt, finished with unpressed pleats in the side and back, ended in a sweeping train. Her elbow length veil of silk illusion fell from a crown of Alencon lace and seed pearls matching her gown. She carried a prayer book topped with two cymbidium orchids and streamers of lover’s knots,
Miss Landra Hopkins Dennis of Amissville, a cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Her long gown was of royal blue bouquet taffeta with a detachable train and three quarter length sleeves.
