Monday afternoon another single vehicle collision occurred on Route 211 near Amissville. Karl W. Hummel of Utica, Mich, sustained a compress fracture of his back when his car was forced off the road, ran up a bank and back into the highway. Trooper Dicks stated that according to witnesses a bus passed the Hummel vehicle on a double solid line and cut back in short, forcing him off the road. Hummel was taken to Fauquier Hospital by the Flint Hill Rescue Squad. Mrs. Hummel, a passenger, was not injured. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $200.
