On Saturday Mrs. Blankenbaker and Mrs. Swindler visited their aunt, Mrs. B. C. Shulerand Dr. Shuler in Shenandoah. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Cornell of Washington, D. C. spent the weekend at their country home Boulder Lodge on the Hazel River. Miss Susan Schaefer, a freshman at Radford College, was a weekend guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Swindler were their son and daughter-in-law, S/Sgt. and Mrs. James E. Swindler of Manassas, their ■children and houseguest Mrs Swindler’s mother, Mrs. Pszenny of Salem, Mass. Other guests for Sunday dinner were Mr. andMrs. Jimmy Wayland and family. Clarence Wagener has returned to his home near town after spending the past two weeks in Washington, D. C. and attending the World’s Fair in New York.
