Deer Contest

Deer eligible to compete In the contest sponsored by the Rappahannock Fish and Came Club must be field dressed prior to weighing. As stated in an earlier release regarding this contest there are three checking stations in the county equipped to weigh deer: Rector’s Store at Flint Hill, Burke’s Store at Woodvllle, and Green’s Store at Slate Mills. Hunters are reminded they have but twenty-three (23) more days to enter the contest. All contestants must be a member of the Rappahannock Game and Fish Club and must also pay an entry fee of one dollar ($1.00) by November 14. Membership cards and "Largest Deer Contest” cards are available through the following persons: B. A. Cooked Amissville; Paul Miller and Herbert Foster, both of Flint Hill; Ennis Brown of Sperryvillej T. M. Johnston, Edward Clark and W. H. Lyne, all of Washington.
