Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hill, Mrs. William Tucker and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Tucker of Amherst were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Edwin Eastham and Mr. and Mrs. Lock Burford at East Hamlet. Mrs. Hill and Mrs. William Tucker are sisters of Mr. Burford. Sunday afternoon guests of the Rev. and Mrs. James Grimmer were Mr. Grimmers brother and sister-in-law, Mg and Mrs. W. M. Grimmer and children of Richmond. All enjoyed a drive on the Skyline Drive. Mrs. Ida Trump attended a meeting of the District Licensing Board of Registered Practical Nurses Monday in Washington, D. C. Mrs. James M. Settle returned home Monday after a week's visit with her daughter, Mrs. R. J. Petersen in Alexandria. Miss Jean Lillard of Richmond and Miss Judy Lillard of Ferrum Junior College spent the weekend at the home of their parents Mr. and Mrs. Carson Lillard. Tommy Lillard is recuperating from a recent appendectomy operation recently at the Warren Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Frank Carey of Wocjdstock visited friends in town on Monday. Paul Miller visited his-sonin-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Howell over the weekend in Madison Heights and Mrs. Miller returned home with him Sunday after a week's viait there. The W. S. C. S. will meet Thursday night at the home of Mrs. H. S. Barksdale. Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Bradford Jr., Miss Virginia Yates Bract ford and Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Barksdale visited the Bradford's son, M. R. Bradford, III, Sunday at V.P.I., Blacksburg.
