Club To Meet
The Rappahannock Game and Fish Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, October 26 at the Court House in Washington. All members and others interested in joining are urged to be present. Purposes of this meeting are; to hear a detailed report of the costs involved in providing gunners of this area with skeet shooting; to decide whether the club will provide such an opportunity; and if so where, when and by whom will it be offered. Information advanced by the committee working on this project indicates skeet shooting could be provided at an initial cost to the Club of approximately $75.00 to include the trap, targets, and ammunition for twenty gunners. Subsequent costs would be about fifty dollars for a like number of persons. This is another effort of the Club to provide recreation for its members and other sportsmen of the county. Also it is felt skeet shooting events held prior to the quail shooting season will provide an opportunity for the gunner to sharpen his reflexes and improve his marksmanship.
