Rep. John O. Marsh, Jr., is completing this week informal campaign visits to 7thDistrict communities as he strives to cover the 14 counties and 5 independent cities before election day, next Tuesday. The late adjournment of Congress has limited his canvassing. Bath, Highland and Rockbridge are on the Marsh schedule for the week, plus late visits to the cities and, time permitting, repeat stops in counties 4« which he ha8^ met voters during the -past two weeks, includihg Clarke. Last week, Marsh took his informal campaign for reelection into Amherst, Nelsor^ Madison, Rappahannock and Page Counties. He also filled speaking engagements in Buena Vista and Harrisonburg and made stops in communities in western portions of Augusta and Rockingham Counties. Visits to industrial plants in the Staunton area were included, and Marsh spent some time in Front Royal and adjacent Warren County communities. Marsh also was occupied in his Washington office, handling official,business, and accompanied a four-county group to a business development conference at one of the federal departments. Marsh said he was “ encouFaged by what seems to be a rather general approval of my •voting record in tne Congress over the past two years."
